Electronic
Database
The library
catalogue itself does not allow you to search for articles
in a journal but only for the journal itself. Periodical (journal
article) databases, on the other hand, allow you to search
for records of relevant articles by using keywords. There
are many such electronic databases, and they are made up of
records that describe particular journal articles taken from
the journals covered by the database.
You should do:
Choose
appropriate databases
Use
keywords to create search statements
Use
synonyms and different word endings
Limit
your search results
Particular databases have their strengths as well as their
limitations. Often it is necessary to search in more than
one database to get reasonable results.
